Health and Wellness Promotion
At our CT clinic, we help patients acheive greater health and wellness using diet and nutrition, herbal medicine, and other natural treatments. In cases where natural treatments are not appropriate, you may be referred to a medical doctor. Natural and herbal medicines can be used as an adjunct to medical treatments in many cases. It may also be possible to get off or reduce medication. This determination can usually be made after the initial visit.

Herbal Medicine and Homeopathy
Natural medicine treatments such as herbs and homeopathy may be used as part of your treatment. Natural medicines are chosen based on their safety and efficacy. Homeopathic remedies are considered very safe and work on an energetic level to heal imbalances. Herbal medicines and herbal formulas are also generally safe, but caution should be taken in children, pregnancy, and with other drugs or medications.

Diet, Nutrition, and Lifestyle Counseling
Proper diet and nutrition as well as healthy lifestyle practices are fundamental to health and wellness. The role of a naturopath is to educate and guide you. Natural medicine provides a powerful alternative to medications and surgery for chronic disease, however, it is up to the patient to make important changes.

Laboratory Testing
Testing is provided through Quest Laboratory and is often covered by insurance. I offer additional testing through various laboratories for food allergies, salivary hormones, neurotransmitter and adrenal function, candida, digestive parasitology, bowel inflammation, cardiovascular disease, toxic chemicals and heavy metals. Insurance may cover these specialized lab tests also. Most offer pre-pay discounts and provide receipts that can be used for insurance reimbursement.
